Zhiwen Wang is an American Chinese investor, economist, entrepreneur, social activist and philanthropist. Among his most recent roles, Mr. Wang currently serves as the president and chairman of the China-US Chamber of Commerce, honorary chairman of Foundation for the Support of the United Nations, and chairman of the World Federation of Chinese Business Youths. Through his works, Mr. Wang has been dedicated to strengthen the harmonious economic development of countries around the world, with a special focus on China and The U.S. Due to his achievements, Mr. Wang was awarded the title of “50 Asian Outstanding Entrepreneurs”. Mr. Wang Zhiwen has extensive social influence in both China and the U.S. He has been received by many current and former heads of states including President Xi, President Trump, President Obama, President Hu, President Bush, and many dignitaries and famous politicians and entrepreneurs. Mr. Wang Zhiwen graduated and studied at the University of Virginia, Peking University, and Harvard University.
Twelve years ago, Mr. Wang initiated the Chamber when he was at the age of 35. At the time, his initiative was endorsed and supported by many US congressmen, the Chinese Embassy in the United States, the Chinese Consulate General in New York, the US Presidential Advisor Asia Pacific Affairs Committee, Ivy League universities, many of the Fortune 500 companies, leaders of the United Nations, as well as several international banks and other global institutions. He was one of the youngest business leaders in the world at the time to focus on fostering China-US relationships. Under the leadership of Mr. Wang Zhiwen, within twelve years, the China- US Chamber of Commerce has developed rapidly becaming one of the most influential Chambers of Commerce in the world.

Douglas Z. Zeng
Vice ChairmanDouglas Zhihua Zeng is currently a senior economist at the Financial and Private Sector Development Department of the Africa Region, World Bank, and has worked on many countries in East Asia and Pacific, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe and Central Asia. His areas of expertise include macroeconomics, innovation, special economic zones, clusters, competitiveness, skills, and knowledge economy. Recent books (including those co-authored) include Building Engines for Growth and Competitiveness in China: Experience with Special Economic Zones and Industrial Clusters; Knowledge, Technology, and Cluster-Based Growth in Africa; Promoting Enterprise-Led Innovation in China; Innovation for Development and the Role of Government; and Enhancing China’s Competitiveness through Lifelong Learning, among others. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Economist) and Stanford University (Ford Foundation Scholar).
Joah R. Sapphire
Joah Sapphire is a catalyst for innovation and possesses over twenty years of experience leading complex public and private organizations.
Mr. Sapphire is the Founder and President of Global Dynamic Group, LLC. Previously he was Founding Partner of Verulam LLC, China Representative of Ospraie Management, LLC, CFO of NROTB, Deputy Commissioner of Suffolk County, Finance Director of Nassau County and Senior Analyst for the New York State Assembly.
Mr. Sapphire serves as adjunct professor for Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs where he teaches Financial Management and is faculty advisor for a Capstone Workshop in infrastructure. He is an industry affiliate of Cornell University’s Program in Infrastructure Policy.
Mr. Sapphire received a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University.
Vice ChairmanTim Yang, the Vice Chairman of China-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director of Auri International Enterprise, was the Vice President of Changkun International Enterprise. Mr. Yang started his business in the U.S., involving in banking, insurance, real estates and natural resource industries. In addition, Mr. Yang is a senior advisor and engineer in the astronautics field.
Mr. Yang was the first western auditing member visiting the Soviet Union’s rocket launching site. He represented Lockheed Martin and Hong Kong Asian Satellite Company to take the duty of launching the Great Wall Rocket. Based on his management skills and professional knowledge of astronautics, Mr. Yang made a huge contribution to the growth and development of Lockheed Martin.
